With a name like Bacon Bacon, what meat-eater wouldn’t be interested? Throw in fried chicken, and I’m sold. Apparently they have a cafe, but I was more interested in trying out their food truck, so one day at lunch, I stopped by to give their fried chicken sandwich a go.
The sandwich is a panko and bacon crusted breast with bacon and coleslaw on a poppy seed bun. I also opted to get some of the garlic parmesan fries on the side. It looked amazing, and I couldn’t wait to dig in!
The fries were really tasty, so I was really glad I added them on the side. The sandwich was good, but nothing special. The bacon was nice, but the chicken was a bit dry (as it was a very thin chicken breast, and is quite easy to overcook). There was a nice bit of flavor, but I was really hoping for something with a a lot more of a wow factor. So while, the sandwich wasn’t amazing, it was good enough that I’d probably go back (maybe to the cafe!) to give their burger a try for my burger hunt.
Score: 3.5/5
Recommendation: Get them fries!
